  1. And the thing is, Out North also has a legal signal that they won from the FCC last year. I hear there has been no action to mount a station and that the license will lapse this August.

It was always our hope that folks who wanted to organize a station would come out of the woodwork. Before I left, there were at least 20 people who said they wanted to make it work and this is a bit of the proof of that.

The idea was to have ON work with Jeremy's group and a possible new group out in Palmer to make an alternative radio network to APRN--a group that could get on the ground to follow local events whether cultural, political, religious, youth, or just trouble-making.

It has been painful to watch and slow in birth. If folks want this stuff to happen--old media working in new media ways--here's the chance. Write in here and post a name and contact. Steve can forward it on to Jeremy or whatever and we'll get something more going than twittering!

Heck, I can even find some cool European source material over here. Anyone interested in international contributions?

  2. I noticed you didn't publish my comment that was in support of CC but critical of Cary Carrigan. Here is a link that delves into why Cary is a problem; pay paarticular attention to the comments. Cary not only is a lousy talk show host, he is a "school yard BULLY!"

  3. Anon, I didn't see (or reject) your previous comment. Not sure what happened to it. This one is up now.
