Anchorage International Film Festival 2015

Overview: This page has four main parts:
Part 1:  What's happening today? - Once the festival begins, this one will change daily.
 Part 2:  Tips and Background info about how to get the best out of the festival.  This part is pretty much ready for this year.
Part 3:  Index of Films by Film, Film Makers, and Video Posts  - to help you find posts about particular films.  There's some overlap, I'll try to remember to put links in  the appropriate categories.
Part 4:  Index all the posts from the festival, with links.  Latest post first.  
Festival runs Dec. 4-19, 2015.  [Festival ends Dec. 13, but Best of the Fest will be Dec. 18 and 19.]



Part 1:  What's Happening Today?  

It's Saturiday Dec. 19.  Best of the Fest Part 1: All the action is at the AK Experience Theater.

Everything tonight is worth seeing.  I've seen them all and you can't miss.
Here's a brief rundown of the  films today.

After tonight, the festival is over.  But I'll probably have a few more posts as time passes and my thoughts on some of the films become clearer.  In the past I've compared my favorites to the award winners and I'll probably do that again.

AIFF 2015: Looking Back As This Year's Festival Nears- Link To Alex Gibney Interview - Links to a current interview with Alex Gibney, whose Academy Award winning Taxi to the Dark Side did not win the documentary prize at the 2007 AIFF.  And it looks at the documentary films in competition for this year.
