Welcome to our coast, Steve. I'm over on Vancouver Island reading you every day as I follow a few Alaska blogs, the right, er... left ones, of course. Have been following your trip down and hope you enjoyed the ride. It's a long ride by road, no doubt, but enjoyable, I'm sure. Looks like the weather is going to hold nice and sunny for a while, a beautiful intro to Autumn. Have a good stay in B.C. I always enjoy going to Alaska, although I don't do it as often as when I sailed into Ketchikan every week or so when I worked on the towboats.
