My Short Block's Contribution to Global Warming
On our side of the street there are six dwellings (two houses, four duplexes). On the other side there is a house and a duplex (their lots are lengthwise along our street.) Here are a few of the vehicles that belong to these eight dwellings.

Hey, Steve! Love your blog. I've read a few of your posts at "The Next Hurrah," where you've helped Marcy understand Alaska a bit better. I suppose my long block contributes about as many junk cars and hopped-up cars as your short block. I appreciated the humor in your "Maytag" post, as I just went through an 11-year-old Kenmore, and went out and bought a brand new Whirlpool, rather than pay $250 for parts and repair and end up with an 11yo repaired washer.

ReplyDeleteI'd rather not be pigeon-holed as a progressive blog. Maybe that's where people would see me, but I'd prefer to think of it as an open minded, generally non-judgmental, rational exploration of ideas. If I seem to pick on Republican politicians, I'd say it's just because there are so many of them. My newest post raises questions about a prominent Dem. Speaking of Alaska blogs, I'm trying to come up with a list and general 'map' of Alaska personal blogs. Finding the Alaska Blog Roll (in right hand column) gave me a bunch. So far I'm finding a few categories like a) my Alaska adventure blogs by recent arrivals b) general this is my life blogs by people in Alaska c) specific topic blogs (ie law, health), d) cyclist (and other sports) blogs, and one d) Alaskan blogging in another language (Japanese) blog. But I keep getting distracted by other things I want or have to do. Do you have a blog? Send me the url or an email and let me know who you are. I'm at afsea at uaa.alaska.edu.
saving water is good than other thing. Now in Beijing, somebody are checking water faucet from door to door.it's said that all the old water faucets that are good at "wasting water" will be replaced later by the new type of saving water fauects.
