Visiting and Blooming in Our Yard Recently

A magpie family is spending the summer
in a nearby yard. The birds are beautiful,
but their call is the equivalent of bird barking.
The steller jay that sometime joins
them speaks the same language.

A new resident hosta.

This is a very common flower, but up
close it looks unusual. Any guesses?


Pansies have such outrageous colors and patterns.

    WOW! Your photographs are fantastic. Actually, at the risk of sounding corny, they are breathtaking. The photo of the "common flower" that was unnamed- love it.

    Glad you like pictures. I'm not satisfied with how I put together the delphinium shots myself.
