In San Francisco you could meet with Harley (my friend). :D My maths teacher told us that US students calculate even the simpliest things with calculator (for example 300/6= 50)? Or Maths classes are happy in general but we smiled a good on it. She also said that you, Americans are smiling on Europeans who use calculator less. Our teacher made us differentiate in mind but I don't think it is a normal thing to do. I heard that in average Hungary is world 6th at Maths and I am at a good school moreoveer she is a fanatic when it comes to Maths. Probably we are good at it because our school system hasn't changed much since the end of the Soviet era when you had to learn hard.

Except that Harley moved to San Diego, not San Francisco. Or did he move again? Last time I looked his blog was gone.
ReplyDeleteNo comment on calculations and calculators.
Yes, San Diego and he deleted his blog.
ReplyDeleteNo comment tells me more than a novel about the question.
