It's been raining. Which is why the roofer hasn't been out yet to give us a new roof. But today was a beautiful sunny day, and in the woods along the bike trail, the results of all that rain were popping up. The first set, in honor of Mirk, is called The Three Mushkateers. The rest shall remain anonymush.
Mush appreciated Sir!! The last one I posted that you saw was about 8-10 inch across are any of those as big?
ReplyDeleteI would say the biggest of these was about 6 or 7 inches in diameter. But size isn't everything.
ReplyDeleteThese are some really great photos. Are you naturally good at it, or do you take lots and lots of photos and just jettison the ones that aren't so great? I find I have to do more of the latter.
ReplyDeleteJohn, Glad you liked them. I really started seriously when I was a student for a year in Germany. Film and developing was expensive (for my budget then) and so I learned to compose each shot very carefully. There aren't too many more mushroom pictures (some that just weren't as good and I thought I was already pushing people's patience with how many I posted.) But the lunar eclipse pictures - well I took lots and lots trying to figure a way to get the right exposure with my digital. I never did quite figure it out, but sometimes you have to sacrifice quality for the content and timeliness. Or so I rationalize. And I used the tripod for those. Now, with my old single lens reflex Pentax I could have gotten much better pictures, but I wouldn't be able to post them in almost real time.
