On a day in July I counted 217 boats from Mile 17 down to the Kenai City Dock. The Kenai is dying from over fishing. This is not a positive fishing experience. Even the river guides agree that there are too many rods in the water. It's better to fish the salt in British Columbia or Alaska's panhandle. It is time to clean out some of the guides like they did in the early 90's.

The river should have been a drift boat only, That includes law, fish & game, And Feds.
