Henry v MOA

Nov 9, 2018 - Jury Quickly Finds for Henry

These are posts about an ongoing trial in Anchorage.  Anthony Henry was terminated from the Anchorage Police Department in 2014.  He's suing over that decision.  It's a case that has lots of overlap with other issues and events, most notably the National Guard scandal of 2014.  There was   also a successful $2 million discrimination lawsuit (it took two trials to complete) by two minority officers in which Anthony Henry was a star witness.   This case also allowed the Anchorage Daily News and KTUU to get copies of the Brown Report. the investigation that led to Henry's termination, which has been kept secret since it was completed in 2014.  There are links to the report (it's in two parts) in the Oct. 20 post.

I didn't get to court until the fifth day of the trial.

I'll try to keep an index of my posts here to make it easy to find them all.  The most recent posts are on top. Dates in headings refer to posting dates.  Most correspond to trial days, but in a couple of cases I got the post up the next day.  [Sorry, got behind but all is caught up now.]

Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018:  Henry v MOA - Slogging Through Details - Finish Hazelaar, Peck, Foster (Economist), and Eric Smith [Updated]  Lots of topics come up as plaintiff's get into details to prove Anthony Henry was set up for termination.  They try to show that Whetsell's MS wasn't a problem and no one was covering it up.  There's talk of the rift between Tony Camp and Command Camp.  Why National Guard drug use wasn't investigated more.  Did SAU need a full time canine? Retaliation for going to OEO and EEOC?  An economist explains how he calculated what economic losses Henry has suffered from being terminated.
