Really looks like adding her name on the first banner was an afterthought--it seems to be squeezed in at the bottom. Wonder who thought that sentiment had to be signed by the governor. Is she Alaska?
I think this was also during the time when she had all of those life sized paper doll props sprinkled around the state.
One of these props showed up in Ketchikan and Winky quickly became known as the
"Rogue to Nowhere on the Road to Nowhere, going Nowhere Fast."
Parnell hasn't done anything except grunt to separate himself from her and that's a fact. For this, he finds himself on the Road to Nowhere, also too. Alaskans aren't deaf dumb and blind but Parnell must be. That's all I can figure. Alaskan Sisu
Wow... I too saw that "Alaska Welcomes Our Troops Home...." banner in Sept. 08. It did strike me as very self-serving with the Gov. signature at the bottom.
However to see the banner today, as posted in your blog, is nice and very pleasent.
Thank you. I feel as if Alaska is welcoming our troops home.

I started this blog just to find out what the blogworld was all about. I figured I needed to actually blog, not just read other people's blogs, to understand how it works, and what ways it could be used. This is all experimental. A learning exercise for me. It's turning out to be a look at one person's (mine) life based in Anchorage. With occasional trips away.

Well, Palin was always only about self promotion. Glad to see that the sign has changed.....Yes, troops...all Alaskans WELCOME you home!
